Jacob Baldwin Midlothian died from car accident injuries on Oct. 16

A suspect is currently being sought by the police in the wake of the fatality of a Midlothian man who was involved in an altercation with another individual in Scott’s Addition over the weekend. Before 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, law enforcement officials were dispatched to the 2800 block of West Marshall Street in response to a report of an assault that was considered to be aggravated.

At the junction of West Marshall and North Sheppard streets, officers came and discovered Jacob Baldwin, 27, from Midlothian experiencing a head injury. Baldwin was lying down and unresponsive at the time of their arrival. It was determined that his injuries were life-threatening, and he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he passed away on Wednesday.
