KTIV Sports Director, Brad Pautsch died on Oct.19 at 58

Brad Pautsch, the Sports Director of KTIV for an extended period, passed away on Saturday, October 19. He was 58 years old. Brad underwent surgery in March 2021 to remove a malignant tumour from his cranium. Brad experienced a stroke subsequent to his surgery, which resulted in his muddled speech.

He successfully completed the seven-hour procedure, five cycles of chemotherapy, and stem cell treatments at the Mayo Clinic. Brad was eventually able to return to the sidelines and assist the SportsFource team with their gameday coverage.

However, in August of this year, Brad’s wife, Sally, observed that Brad’s equilibrium was impaired and that he had fallen on several occasions. Nevertheless, Brad was able to attend the wedding of his firstborn son, Joe, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in September. Subsequently, an MRI revealed a new tumour in a difficult-to-access region of Brad’s brain. Brad subsequently resolved to enroll in hospice care.

Brad’s abilities elevated him to the pinnacle of professional athletics. from Minneapolis, Minnesota, during Super Bowl LII in 2018. Brad is survived by his wife, Sally, and his three children, Reggie, Mary, and Joseph.
